Dante DiBattista has worked all over the world, from businesses to Spain and non-profits in Brazil to schools in Greece to learn from and develop leaders who transform schools, businesses, and entire communities. He started as a student leader at Widener University hosting leadership workshops for students seeking their leadership certificate from the Oskin Leadership Institute. During this time, he met an international student who wanted to start an Urban Leadership Project in his hometown, with Dante designing the curriculum. This started Dante’s journey traveling the world to learn from and work with community leaders.
His dedication to community service led to him joining the selective non-profit organization, Teach For America, to teach Special Education in a Title I school. This sparked his passion for educational equity and advocacy for students in impoverished communities. He also conducted independent research on the school-to-prison pipeline and strategies to reduce it.
His passion for education and technical savvy inspired him to teach himself through online learning courses how to develop websites, apps, and software. This journey pushed him to pursue an opportunity to consult an international tech start-up based in Madrid, Spain where he spearheaded research to strategically develop a chatbot solution for a new eMedicine platform using artificial intelligence.
These various experiences opened doors for Dante to travel and speak to business executives, non-profit leaders, and students ranging from middle school to the collegiate level, motivating them to overcome the challenges we face, and outlining action steps to building a better future for themselves and generations to come.
